Not far from Karşıyaka are the ruins of a monastery that was once the main religious building in the region. Now only partially preserved walls and an engraving in the form of a double-headed Byzantine eagle in front of the entrance to the chapel remain from it.

The ride from Ercan airport to the village takes about 40 minutes.

As a rule, public transport takes longer, and it runs irregularly. You will have to first get to Kyrenia and then wait for the minibus there. You need to pay in cash on the bus, do not forget to change the currency at the airport.

Having a fever, food poisoning, or other diseases, you have to go to the ambulance, there are such departments at all hospitals. Pharmacies in Karşıyaka are open every day except Sundays, although they do not work 24/7. But even on Sunday, a pharmacy on duty is always open.

Medical care in North Cyprus requires insurance, which does not cover dental costs.

At the same time, prices in private clinics are affordable, people come here even from the southern part of the island for quality services in the field of surgery, gynecology, endoscopy, and so on.
